Picture Books

Perry Nodelman in his Words about Pictures wrote, good picturebooks "offer us what all good art offers us: greater consciousness - the opportunity... to be more human". 

I'm currently curating Pablito's picture book collection and some reference literature has proven invaluable...  I've stumbled upon Children's Picturebooks: The Art of Visual Storytelling in the local library which led me to Children Reading Pictures: Interpreting Visual Texts and Children's Corner.

Frightfully Beautiful

Went out for some croissants this morning and had to run back in to get the camera:-).  Every single branch was covered in ice.  I had to arm myself with my new macro and some Hunter boots.  I wish I could say that images are the result of a contemplative state, but alas - toes and finger were getting numb... So it was a rush job.
